Impacts and adapting

Storm

Climate projections for our region indicate longer drier summers and increased frequency of storms. This is increasing the threat from bushfires, heatwaves and violent storms to lives, property economic activity and the environment.

These changes are also having an impact on our food supply, water resources, ecosystems and critical infrastructure. They're also placing additional demands on our emergency services and health systems.

We're on an unavoidable course of warming and need to act now to reduce risks from climate change. We can start doing this today by making choices that reduce greenhouse emissions. The decisions we make now will shape the world for future generations.
