ACTSmart Public Event Recycling Program

Assistance for efficient waste management and recycling at public events.
What is it?
This program is designed to help event organisers implement recycling facilities within a public event and provide the public the opportunity to recycling within that event. Event organisers are provided with a best practice guide, bin covers, vendor signage/stickers, education and support to achieve a reduction in waste to landfill whilst increasing materials recovered for recycling.
Canberrans are Australia’s top recyclers at home. They expect the opportunity to recycle at public events. Public Events produce significant amounts of material, some of which is waste, but mostly consists of potentially recyclable material including paper, cardboard, glass, metal, plastics and organics. The ACTSmart Public Event logo provides customer recognition of your waste management achievements.
Be inspired by these Public Event Recycling case studies to make your event more sustainable.
