City Switch
CitySwitch Green Office

National tenant energy-efficiency program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

What is it?

CitySwitch Green Office is a national partnership between businesses and government acting as environmental leaders. The program assists office tenants to improve energy efficiency for a positive impact on climate change.

With over 70 per cent of Canberra's greenhouse gas emissions generated by stationary sources, including office buildings, the ACT's emissions profile is distinctly different from the national emissions figure of around 50 per cent.

CitySwitch provides an opportunity for Canberra's many businesses and government agencies to demonstrate leadership in reducing their contribution to the ACT's environmental impact, and modelling exemplary behaviour to the Canberra community. Together with CitySwitch, organisations can reduce their impact on the environment at the same time as making significant savings on energy costs.

Who can participate?

Any office building tenant can become a Signatory to CitySwitch.
