Biodiversity Accreditation

Schools that are able to integrate school gardens and biodiversity can achieve an Actsmart Schools accreditation for Biodiversity.

Here are some tips on how to achieve energy accreditations

• implement a student leadership team who raise awareness on multiple platforms
• seek advice from an Actsmart schools officer
• organise a visit from the Actsmart Schools horticulturalist
• gain staff participation
• integrate activities that address school grounds and biodiversity conservation into the curriculum
• encourage non-teaching staff to engage in maintaining the school gardens
