Biodiversity Behaviour Change
Are you trying to improve behaviours at school to make gardens and biodiversity fun and engaging for everyone? Here are some tips on changing behaviours, from the Biodiversity and School Grounds Best Practice Guide provided by Actsmart Schools:
- make sure all staff and students know that their school is aiming to protect and restore plant and animal life
- make sure all staff and students know what they can and should do to help
- promote the gardens at assemblies, in school newsletters and other forms of communication
- nominate school grounds monitors and reward them for their efforts
- organise competitions and present biodiversity awards at assemblies.
