Actsmart Schools provides the following resources for Biodiversity and School Grounds:

• a detailed Best Practice Guide
• professional learning for teachers, business managers and facilities managers
• A free compost and worm farm display to borrow for two weeks
• Case studies on sustainable school grounds:
  • Farrer Primary School
  • Wanniassa Hills Primary School
• free school garden consultations by the Actsmart Schools qualified horticulturist

The horticulturist can provide advice on:

• garden design to reduce energy and water consumption
• plant selection
• maintaining gardens
• compost and worm farms
• increasing biodiversity
• fire resistant plantings
