Energy Accreditation

Schools that adopt sustainable energy management strategies, demonstrate reductions in energy consumption and prove they are committed to energy saving behaviour changes, can be accredited for Energy with Actsmart Schools.

Here are some tips on how to achieve an energy accreditation:

• implement a student leadership team to drive wider engagement and behaviour change initiatives
• seek advice from an Actsmart Schools Officer
• encourage staff participation
• encourage non-teaching staff to engage in energy saving practices
• utilise energy efficient appliances
