Climate Change Mitigation
The ACT Government’s climate change strategy and action plan, AP2, sets out a pathway to meet our 2020 emissions reduction target of 40% (below 1990 levels) and our new target of carbon neutrality (zero net emissions) by 2050. AP2 includes actions relating to renewable energy, energy efficiency, travel and waste management. More information.
To help the ACT Government meet its climate change mitigation goals, the ACT Climate Change Council advises to the Minister for the Environment and Climate Change on matters relating to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to a climate change. The Council also consults with business and the community on these matters. More information.
